Malik Ameer Crumpler is a poet, rapper, music producer and editor that’s released several albums, short films and five books of poetry. He’s the co-editor of Paris Lit Up, The Opiate and the co-founder of Those That This, Satori Ideas, The Nones and Visceral Brooklyn. Malik has an MFA in Creative Writing from Long Island University, Brooklyn. He curates/ hosts Poets Live and The Wordists. Crumpler also wrote several musicals, monologues, ballets/ arias commissioned by Harvest Works NYC, L’Openbach Ecocentric Festival Paris, Composers Now NYC, Firehouse Space Brooklyn, Dixon Place NYC, Liberation Dance Theater, Association of Performing Arts Professionals NYC, Native Tongue Brooklyn Actors Fund Theater, Rush Arts Galleries NYC, Love Yourself Project NYC, Panoply Lab Brooklyn, B’AM Paris, B’AM Vancouver, On-Point Brussels, and Double Wei Factory, Hong Kong. Lastly, he is the M.C. for the Hip Hop group, Madison Washington on Def Pressé and co-host/curator for Transatlantic Poetry.
